6.5. Working with Offline Lists Within Access

When you share a SharePoint list in Access, you can disconnect from your network and work with the list data offline. You can have queries and reports that use the list data to make it easier to display, edit, and report on the list data. If you add other tables to the database not derived from a SharePoint list, you can create forms and reports that combine both the SharePoint-derived data with the non-SharePoint data. But the most interesting feature is that with offline data, you can edit your SharePoint list data even when not connected to your network. You can then upload your changes to the lists the next time you connect to the server.
