4.5. Managing Your Documents with the Document Management Panel

Earlier in this chapter, you learned how to create a new document workspace. In the process of setting up this site, Word 2007 opened the Document Management panel. Word 2007 makes this panel available only when working with a document opened from a SharePoint library. If the panel does not automatically appear, you can manually open it by clicking the Office Button followed by Server and then Document Management Information. Figure 4-17 shows the open Document Management panel for one of the purchase order documents.
