Exchange Online Protection

Exchange Online Protection configuration is integrated into the Exchange Admin Center (EAC).

This service was created to protect the Exchange system. It holds the responsibility of protecting, filtering, and maintaining the hygiene of all emails, as a protective layer, before they hit the inbox of the end users.

As a layer that exists outside of the Exchange core, it creates a protective shield that mitigates some security risks. This system was created as a distributed computational platform, across all Microsoft data centers, to have the ability to scan, protect, and deliver legitimate emails in the fastest way possible.
