26. Using the Journal and Notes

Outlook not only helps you manage emails, contacts, and tasks, but it can also assist you in developing an “informational trail” related to your interactions with your contacts. Outlook’s Journal feature can be used to create a timeline of important interactions with your contacts, including emails, phone calls, and meetings (both “in person” and online). You can also create Journal entries that relate to work that you do in other Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. In this chapter, we look at how you can track information in the Outlook Journal.
