Attaching Files and Items to a Message

You can attach files and Outlook items to your email messages. You can send Word documents, Excel workbooks, a family photo, or any other file you want, including a collection of files in various archive formats, such as ZIP (which you can create using the Windows 8 File Explorer). Commands for attaching files and Outlook items are available on the Message tab and the Insert tab of the message window’s Ribbon. If you are replying to a message or forwarding a message from within the Reading pane, the Compose Tools Message tab provides the Include group, which houses both the Attach File and Attach Item commands.
