Working with Borders and Shading

Font-formatting attributes, such as bold, italics, underline, and increased font size, can emphasize specific text in a document. When you want to draw attention to a certain paragraph or heading but want something a little more flashy than a font attribute change or simple paragraph-formatting attributes such as centering or indents, you can take advantage of borders and shading. Borders and shading provide a simple way to add color and graphical elements to a special document such as a report, flyer, or newsletter.
