Using Views, Windows, and Side Notes

To make the most of OneNote, you will need to use the different views it offers. You may also find it helpful to open more than one window at once so that you can view or edit two or more pages of notes at the same time.

Using Normal View, Full Page View, and Dock to Desktop View

At first, OneNote opens in Normal view, which shows the Navigation bar, the Ribbon, the Section Tabs, and the Page Tabs pane so that you can navigate easily among notebooks, sections, and pages.

Using Full Page View to See More of Your Notes
