Starting a Presentation

In this chapter, I'll show you how to start building a presentation in PowerPoint.

First, you create the presentation file. PowerPoint gives you a wide range of choices, from colorful design templates called themes to sample templates with canned content that can give your presentation a kick start. You can change the look, colors, or fonts, and you can also customize the slide size and orientation as needed.

Next, you add slides to the presentation or customize the sample slides it contains. A PowerPoint presentation consists of a series of slides that you normally play from start to finish.
