Summary

In this chapter, we've examined the many ways we can migrate database data in Oracle. We've explored how external tables can be created to read data directly from an external file. We've examined the SQL*Loader tool and used it to read data from an external file and load it into the database. Finally, we've used Oracle's Data Pump to export data from and import data into database tables, as well as examining a number of Data Pump's transformational features.
