I’ve tried to write this book so that it will be useful many years after its publication. As long as ambitious filmmakers of all ages struggle to make good films within limited budgets, I think this book has a role to play. One problem that limits any construction book’s longevity is the availability of the materials and tools needed to implement the projects it contains. I myself own construction books from the 1980s that require parts that are now difficult to find.
