Chapter 22 Troubleshooting the GroupWise Directory
The GroupWise directory, sometimes referred to as GDS, is largely contained in the WPDOMAIN.DB and WPHOST.DB files. Typically, the most effective way to fix problems in GroupWise directory databases is by rebuilding them using system maintenance in ConsoleOne.
Using the Correct Tools
GroupWise administrators are often unclear about which tools to use to fix a GroupWise problem. When a problem appears in the system address book in the GroupWise client, running the Mailbox/Library Maintenance or GroupWise check (GWCheck) will accomplish nothing. These are the wrong tools to use to fix GroupWise system address book/WPHOST.DB problems.
