Regression I

4.1 Introduction

In this chapter, a nonparametric, rank-based (R) approach to regression modeling is presented. Our primary goal is the estimation of parameters in a linear regression model and associated inferences. As with the previous chapters, we generally discuss Wilcoxon analyses, while general scores are discussed in Section 4.4. These analyses generalize the rank-based approach for the two-sample location problem discussed in the previous chapter. Focus is on the use of the R package Rfit (Kloke and McKean 2012).
