Two Types of OpenType Fonts

There are two types of OpenType fonts. One is PostScript-based, such as those in the Adobe Type Library. They have an .otf extension in the font file name. The other type is TrueType-based and has a .ttf extension.

You can install and use any flavor of OpenType font along with PostScript Type 1 and TrueType fonts.
