This book is meant to follow The Mac is not a typewriter or The PC is not a typewriter. Rather than repeat everything I wrote in those first books, I must assume you have read it and are following those basic typographic principles. But just in case you think you’re ready for this book without having read the other, I am including here a brief review. If you answer no (N) to any of these points, please take a few moments to read The Mac/PC is not a typewriter.

YNI type one space after periods, commas, colons, semicolons, exclamation points, question marks, parentheses, and any other punctuation.
YNI always use true quotation marks (“”), never dumb ol’ ditto marks (″″).
