About the Author
S. N. Singh was born in Varanasi in the year 1943. He obtained B.Sc. Engg. (Electrical Engg.) and M.Sc. Engg. (Electrical Machines) from Banaras Hindu University in the year 1967 and 1969, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Drives and Power Electronics in 1983 from Roorkee University.
