It's Just Not the Right Time

Managers we speak with will often share with us that “now is just not the right time” to focus on this issue because we are “undergoing a leadership change at the top” or “just started merging with another business,” or our favorite, “we just had a layoff.” Now, they insist, is definitely not the right time to begin such an effort. From their point of view, the nature of the event seems at odds with a counter-effort to create a great workplace.
