I Didn't Have Enough Time to Do It Right

As we discussed in Chapter 2, there are several cognitive obstacles that get in the way of creating a great workplace. There are also behavioral obstacles that keep us stuck. In later chapters of the book, we'll talk about obstacles specific to your leaders or coworkers, or the very systems in which your organization exists. As all good philosophers say, you need to start with you and your own management behavior. Or as Yoda in Star Wars said, “Try not. Do or do not. … There is no try.”
