Handling the Truly Unexpected“Uh oh…”

Project managers are often viewed as professionals who create a plan and then execute to that plan while tracking status and providing updates. Some would say that the role of the project manager is to navigate the plan and the schedule while doing their best to avoid changes or difficulties. You probably know this is never the case. If you could simply create a plan and then execute it without any changes, adjustments, or problems, then your job could be done via an Excel macro. And I suspect you know that most of what you do every day could never be done with a few keystrokes.
