An anchor is a stimulus that triggers a response, in you or in others, and it may involve any of the five senses – sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. For example, the sound of an alarm bell, or the sight of a red traffic light, both cause us to respond automatically. An anchor is also something with which we associate a particular feeling or state. This might be a piece of music, a word or a place that brings back memories and emotions connected with it.???
