Chapter 3: Setting up the Nikon D800

The Nikon D800 is one of the most customizable cameras on the market. You can assign buttons to different functions that you find yourself using frequently. The My Menu feature allows you to create personal menu options so that you quickly find the options for settings you use most often.

Most options in the Menu system are used to change things that don’t need to be changed very often or quickly.

Press the Menu button (menu.eps) on the back of the camera to access the menus and use the multi-selector to scroll through the toolbar on the right side of the LCD.

Playback Menu

The Playback Menu is where you manage the images stored on your memory card and also where you control how the images are displayed and what image information is displayed during review. There are ten options available from the Playback Menu that are explained in the following sections.
