Asking Your Camera for Help

Your camera offers a built-in help line — a great tool for times when you forget the purpose of a particular menu option.

images If you see a question mark in the lower-left corner of a menu, as shown on the left in Figure 1-26, press and hold the WB button to display information about the current shooting mode or selected menu option. (The little question mark symbol on the button reminds you of this function.) For example, Figure 1-26 shows the help screen associated with the Active D-Lighting setting. If you need to scroll the screen to view all the help text, keep the button pressed and scroll by using the Multi Selector. Release the button to close the help screen.
