The Information Display

The information display, shown in Figure 1.9, shows some of the information available in the viewfinder, but it is much brighter, clearer, and larger, making it much easier to read. You can also adjust many settings from this screen. There are two buttons that bring up the information display: The Info button (info2.eps) on top of the camera and the Information Edit button (infoedit2.eps) on the back of the camera. The Info button (info2.eps) shows the information display the first time you press it and turns off the second time you press it, which is great if you are just checking your settings. However, if you want to adjust settings, press the Information Edit button (infoedit2.eps). The information display appears the first time you press it, but when you press it again, it allows you to edit the settings. Press it yet again to get back to the main info screen. Press the shutter-release button or the Info button (info2.eps) to exit the display.
