Book conventions
This book has numerous references to the creation of complex tables, where categories are projected onto an x-axis and y-axis. For each resulting cell, a question (or set of questions) is considered. By systematically asking this question(s) for each combination, a holistic view of the environment can be built in various contexts. Generally Mircosoftâs Excel application is good at depicting matrix models as a spreadsheet.
For the sake of clarity, a shorthand notation has been developed to make it easier to communicate these large matrices. For example, the following shorthand would be used to depict a QoE Matrix.
