It's important to note that the above manifesto is a set of mandatory features you should employ within your application integration solution and implementation of that solution within your problem domain. The purpose is to serve not only your current application integration requirements—inside and outside the organization—but also the application integration requirements that you may encounter in the future. In other words, it's a checklist of features you must have in order to ensure success now and in the future. Fail to follow this manifesto, and you will run the risk of failure.
