JMS is not as well known as EJB, and it provides a very different set of services. Still, it is quickly becoming the messaging middleware standard of choice for many organizations. Moreover, JMS is attracting existing middleware vendors, including IBM, BEA, and Progress Software, which have JMS-enabled their product lines.
