Every day in organizations around the world, people start new jobs, eager, excited, and anxious but ready to do their best. Within the first few months or even weeks, many of those new employees become discouraged and disillusioned, often as a direct result of the way in which they were introduced to the organization. In far too many cases, new employees are thrown into their new environment and are expected to sink or swim.
