Liaison and bibliometric support: the UK Research Assessment Exercise

A number of liaison librarians were closely engaged with the UK’s Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in 2008 and found this an important new direction in which to develop. Susan Ashworth had responsibility for the team within Research and Learning Support Services at the University of Glasgow Library, which worked on the Glasgow University submission and had the job of checking for accuracy the outputs of all research-active academic staff.
