Chapter 11. Configuring Network Connectivity

OBJECTIVES

This chapter covers the following CompTIA-specified objectives for the “Network Implementation” and “Network Support” sections of the Network+ exam.

Given a remote connectivity scenario (IP, IPX, dial-up, PPPoE, authentication, physical connectivity, etc.) configure the connection.

  • Configuring remote connectivity is a common task for a network administrator. Although many of the technologies used for configuring remote connectivity are the same as those used to configure connectivity on a LAN, some technologies are specific to remote connectivity.
