Summary

Service provider security is increasingly becoming an important service offered by service providers. Indeed, some elements of security are better implemented by the service provider then by the end customers on edge networks. In general, it is important for service providers to be prepared with techniques such as using a sinkhole router to help customers who are under attack. The more security capability a service provider has, the more likely that its other services will not be disrupted in the event of an attack.
