Summary
This chapter discussed how TACACS+ performs AAA functions for the NAS. TACACS+ not only performs the back-end work for AAA, but also defines the format of how the communication between the TACACS+ server and the NAS takes place. This chapter also discussed how the TACACS+ daemon responds to the various AAA requests from the NAS.
