AAA

Authentication, Authorization, Accounting.

ACL

Access control list. A list of rules that specify filters for network traffic, used to specify security policies in routers.

agent

(i) A role that is assumed by a system that is being managed. Counterpart to a manager role. (ii) A software entity that implements a management interface that allows a system or a device to be managed by a management application. A management server.

alarm

An event message that indicates the onset of an alarm condition.

alarm clear

An event message that indicates the remission of an alarm condition.

alarm condition
