Installing FlowViewer
If possible, install FlowViewer from a package provided by your OS vendor. If your vendor doesn't provide a FlowViewer package, you'll need to install by hand, of course.
Prerequisites
Install the following software packages before installing FlowViewer, all of which should be available as packages for most operating systems:
Web server, such as any recent Apache
Perl
RRDtool (http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/) with Perl shared module support
GD Graphics Library (http://www.boutell.com/gd/)
The gd::graph Perl module
The GDBM Perl module (might be packaged as GDBM_File)
You'll also need to know the system user who runs your web pages. This is probably a user named www, http, or www-data. If your web server is running, enter ps -axe
