Name
DataObject
Synopsis
This class provides a basic implementation of the
IDataObject
interface that supports data transfer
in Clipboard
and drag-and-drop scenarios.
You can add the data you wish to encapsulate in one or more different
formats using the SetData()
method. There are
three overloads that allow you to add the data either specifying a
string indicating the format (perhaps from the
DataFormats
class), using a
Type
name as the format ID, or with no extra
information, which defaults to using the class name as the ID.
When you are on the receiving end of one of these objects, you can
use the GetData()
method to retrieve the data for
a particular format ID, perhaps using the GetDataPresent()
method to determine whether there is any data stored in a
particular format. You can also call GetFormats()
to get a list of all the formats for which data is stored in the
object.
