How it works...

In steps 1 to 5, we added a blank solution. This is the base of the coding we are adding in this recipe and the next. After that, we added a .NET Standard 2.0 library in steps 7 to 11. In steps 12 and 13, we renamed the default class generated by the template. You can always delete this default class template and add a new class to the project with the new name.

In step 15, we added code to the Helper class. In the first line, we created a function that takes a number as an integer and returns an integer as the output. Before the output, we added 1 to the input. Func<>  is used to create the function. The first int is taken as the input and the last one as the output.
