Summary

The System.Security.Cryptography.Xml namespace within the .NET Framework contains a comprehensive implementation of XMDLSIG, the XML digital signature standard. In this chapter, we have demonstrated how these classes can be used to create and verify detached, wrapped, and enveloped XMLDSIG signatures. Signatures can be generated for any type of content, whether or not it is expressed as XML resources.
