.NET Framework Security and Operating System Security Settings

Windows security and the Code Access Security system complement and cooperate with each other. The Windows security model encompasses of two main concepts—user authentication and access control. User authentication is used to establish and ascertain the identity of a particular user and map that identity to a particular administrator-defined user role.
