About the Authors

Gunther Lenz received a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Munich, Germany, in 1997. He then spent four years working on the research and product development of a high-performance medical image-processing system, under FDA regulation. That project is part of a large-scale medical application programming platform called syngo (www.syngo.com). His role in the project changed over the course of time from software developer to team lead of subprojects involving software development as well as testing.
