Making the Presentation

On some occasions and with some clients, the quality of your presentation can outweigh the quality of the actual needs assessment results. The presentation can be the convincing factor instead of the data. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that your data can speak for itself or that the answers are so glaringly obvious that you don’t need to point them out.

These are the factors that are most influential in a presentation:

  • a level of detail that matches the audience’s expectations

  • your ability to answer questions that come up during the presentation

  • organization of information in such a way as to build evidence, so that the answers logically present themselves to the audience
