The topics that we have discussed so far are well on their way to actual utilization or have (in some cases) actually been used. In this section we go a bit farther, to discuss one of the visionary aims of nanotechnology. This involves neuro-electronic interfaces—the idea of constructing nanodevices that will permit computers to be joined and linked to the nervous system.
