Chapter 5

Bio-Nanofluid Simulation

Abstract

Fluids with suspended nanoparticles (particles below 100 nm) are called nanofluids. They are used in a variety of medical and industrial applications. In this chapter nanofluid production and properties are explained and the thermophysical properties of biofluid (biological fluid such as blood) are presented. Also, a new method for calculation of bio-nanofluid is developed. Then the simulation and modeling tools for nanofluid are reviewed. Biofluid simulation methods in cardiovascular systems are necessary in biofluid study. Finally, the method of simulating cardiovascular system using lumped, one-, two-, and three-dimensional models is presented and explained. Also, fluid flow and heat transfer of bio-nanofluid ...
