2.8 The Message Recipient: contactgroup

The contactgroup serves as the interface between the notification system and the individual contacts. Nagios never addresses individual contacts directly in various object definitions, but always goes through the contact group.

Here Nagios also expects a name (contactgroup_name) and a comment (alias), which reveals to visitors of the Web site what the purpose of the group is. For members (members) of the group, you can enter an individual contact or a comma-separated list of several contacts:
