Chapter 2. Nagios Configuration

Although the Nagios configuration can become quite large, you only need to handle a small part of this to get a system up and running. Luckily many parameters in Nagios are already set to sensible default settings. So this chapter will be concerned primarily with the most basic and frequently used parameters, which is quite sufficient for an initial configuration.
