Summary

A good applications infrastructure takes time to set up in the beginning of a project, but it can save hours or days of grief at the end. Now that you have completed this chapter, you have Ant to manage your build and deployment processes, Turbine for connection pooling, and log4J for consistent logging.

Infrastructure is important because it makes sure that all the team members are using the same tools in the same way, and it prevents examples of code that runs on one developer's machine but not on the deployment environment.
