Creating views

Database views are usually used to hide complex details of certain tables and in some cases, they’re used simply as a security mechanism by limiting the data that a user is allowed to retrieve. In this section, I’ll show you how to create a view, in a moment, using Navicat’s view designer. It has a powerful visual editing tool called the View Builder and it allows you to design views visually using point-and-click and drag-and-drop gestures.

To add a table to the view, simply click on its name on the left pane, and drag it to the graphical view area, or just double-click on its name in the tree view and click on View Builder tab and then follows these steps:
