Chapter 5. Glade for VB Developers
Glade is a development environment for the GTK+ widget set. Although it is not the only one available, it seems to be pulling into the lead as the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) of choice. It allows point-and-click user interface construction and then writes source code into an organized set of files for further development. Like Visual Basic (VB), it takes care of almost everything up to the point of writing the event handlers, leaving that to the developer.
