Given all of the monitoring tools, utilities, and full-blown systems-management applications available today, it's important to keep in mind the scope of this chapter. That is, in a perfect world, there would be significant overlap within an SAP technical support organization in terms of the monitoring tools deployed for day-to-day management as well as performance tuning.
