Capturing Screen Images

Sometimes you may run across a particularly interesting web page. You could save the entire web page as a file, but if you only want to save part of that web page, you might prefer to capture a screen image of the part you want to keep. Save this part as a separate file and then you can print this file or email it to someone so he or she can see the exact image that you saw on your screen.

To capture all or part of an image that appears on your screen, use the Grab program like so:

  1. Run a program or open a web page to display a message or image on the screen that you want to capture in an image file.

  2. Click the Finder icon on the Dock. The Finder window appears.

  3. Select GoUtilities. The Utilities window appears.
