Chapter 14. Using Resume, Auto Save, and Versions

One of the biggest hassles with using any computer is losing data. To prevent this catastrophe, you should periodically save your work. Since this requires choosing the Save command at regular intervals, it’s no surprise that many people forget to do this and wind up losing data anyway.

Fortunately, OS X Lion can prevent this problem through three new features called Resume, Auto Save, and Version. Best of all, none of these new features requires you to do anything more than learn how to take advantage of them, since they work automatically in the background, protecting your data without requiring any additional action on your part whatsoever.
