Chapter 6. Using Full-Screen Viewing

Monitors keep getting bigger and bigger, yet they can still seem cluttered with menu bars and icons getting in the way. If you want to eliminate these visual distractions so you can focus, you’ll appreciate the new full-screen viewing feature, which lets you expand a window to fill your entire monitor.

Just keep in mind that programs must be specifically designed to work with OS X Lion in order to use full-screen mode, so there’s a good chance any older programs you have won’t support this feature. However, newer Mac OS X programs will probably take advantage of this feature in future updates, so you are likely to enjoy full-screen viewing of your favorite programs in the near future.
