Although it's called a Birthdays calendar in the iCal program, you can store any important dates in the Birthday calendar. For example, instead of typing a person's name and birthday in Address Book, you could enter a descriptive event, such as My Wedding Anniversary, and then enter that date in the birthday field. When you look at the Birthdays calendar in iCal, you'll see the words My Wedding Anniversary displayed on a specific date.

By knowing which birthdays and anniversaries are coming up each month, you'll always have plenty of time to send a birthday card or short note of congratulations to let people know that you haven't forgotten them. When people notice that you remember their birthdays and ...
